Having on mind the quality as Leggett’s recognizable trade mark, Leggett and Platt always paid special attention on Quality. In addition to the established quality management system which have been certified (ISO 9001, TS 16949, AS 9100 etc …), Leggett went a step further and has made its own Quality management system called LP9000. He is certified by the American Accreditation Agency, and is fully compliant to ISO9001 standard.
Recognizing suppliers as part of Leggett quality strategies, it is very important that all segments of business from beginning to end of operation chain have Quality management system.
Marti d.o.o. as Leggett’s important. The opportunity to implement LP9000 system in Marti d.o.o. was very crucial for Leggett and also for Marti.
As a pilot project of Leggett, we start with implementation of Quality management system in company Marti d.o.o.
Project leader was Sanja Koprivec, Leggett’s Branch 0358 Purchasing coordinator. Technical support was Peter Riley, Leggett’s Operations, Energy & Facilities Project Manager for Europe and Igor Horvatic, Branch 0357/0358 Continuous Improvement & Quality System Coordinator.
Steven W. Willis, Leggett’s Staff VP Quality System conducted a complete system audit, and certified company Marti d.o.o. as 108. location to be LP9000 Quality Management System compliable.
This certification recognizes the commitment of management at Marti d.o.o. for establishing policies and practices that will enable them to improve all aspects of their operation. A well-established Quality Management System helps an organization enhance employee involvement and provides greater awareness of activities necessary to supply quality products to their customers.
